Keith Brautigam is an IT and cybersecurity executive with more than 20 years in information technology and a decade of experience in identity and access management. He has served as Interim Chief Information Officer, Deputy CIO, and Chief Information Security Officer at a large public research university, and as Global Cybersecurity Director of Identity and Access Management at Hunter Douglas.

About Keith Brautigam CIO
Keith Brautigam began his career as an IT Systems Administrator at a medical research center, supporting secure systems for lung imaging research. HIPAA was just taking effect, and that early exposure shaped how he approaches IT: compliance and data security are part of the service, not an add-on.
He later moved into research administration, where he adopted Agile Scrum practices and helped move internal processes online. He was then recruited into central IT at the University of Iowa to work on identity and access management.
In 2014, Keith joined a large public research university in a management role and advanced to Director, Chief Information Security Officer, Deputy CIO, and Interim CIO. In 2024, he joined Hunter Douglas in Broomfield, Colorado, where he built a global IAM program covering strategy, staffing, and software.
